Interesting moments as a new Medium
"I'm a Medium? That sounds dark and scary!"
I replied to Marie Manucheheri during our private intuitive healing session. It took me a year for my mind to catch up with my soul's calling. A year later, I enrolled in an online mediumship class.
The first seven weeks felt like I was learning a foreign language, but things started getting "interesting" during our practice breakout sessions. "Interesting" is the word I use when my logical mind isn't on board.
Each week, I was introduced to a new concept, and then we would break into groups to practice. I entered each session with zero expectations of making any connections.
Surprisingly, I had significant experiences every time, right from my first session.
During the fifth class, the teacher talked about how a spirit may come in shy if they passed from suicide or personal neglect. I then entered a breakout session with my partner and instantly felt that her child had committed suicide.
Quickly, I said, "I can't do this; I'm not a medium." She encouraged me to continue, as no one had been able to connect with her son since his passing.
I won’t share details since I haven't asked her permission. I can tell you that our sessions together were beautiful experiences for both of us, and I fell in love with the healing power of mediumship.
Still in disbelief that I was a medium, I had another session where
My practice partner’s brother in spirit arrived so strongly that it took my breath away. He was eager to chat, and I was able to share extensive details with her, including the song that had been played at his funeral service. We had so much fun reading for each other that we scheduled a second practice session for the following week.
When she entered our Zoom session, she asked if her mother could join us, as her mother didn't believe in mediumship but was intrigued after hearing the details about her son. I gasped and said, "No, I don't even know if I believe in mediumship yet." I heard her say, "Sorry, Mom, you have to leave the room." My heart cried out, and I reluctantly agreed that her mother could stay.
I explained that I was new and didn't fully understand what was happening, and that things might look odd because I feel sensations in my body during communication.
It makes sense now; once we cross over, our physical bodies do not go with us. To communicate, the spirit impresses on the medium’s mind to feel, see, smell, or know things.
Their loved one quickly let me know he was with us because I felt an energy of excitement. Here comes the embarrassing part: the session started with me imitating her son's walk! They laughed and confirmed that as evidence. I shared additional information I received, but things got super awkward when I blurted out, “He is saying…” and then inserted some swear words (I pledge to never swear again in a session).
Thankfully, Mom and sister laughed, confirming that he enjoyed swearing.
As the energy built up again, I felt it intensify in my knees and yearned to wrap my arms around them. Laughing, I pulled my knees up to my chest and began to rock. His sister said, "Yes, Mom used to rock us when we were kids."
Mom was wide-eyed and didn’t say a word during the session. Shockingly, I later received a gratitude email from her daughter stating that her mom now believed her son was with us during the session. She clarified that at 2 PM every afternoon, she would sit on the porch rocking, thinking about her son, and now she knows 100% that he is there with her, based on this “interesting” way he shared evidence.
This was another step toward believing and trusting that I was a medium and that there truly was “life after life”.
